In the predawn stillness of camp, under star-blotted skies, Peter Kelly kneels by a crackling fire. He embodies the adventurer’s spirit: a writer, a guide, and an explorer curating never-before-done, bespoke outdoor adventures. Peter has been living the outdoor life since the tender age of five. Today, he stands as the founder of Kelly Expedition Co., a University of Wyoming-certified outdoor guide with his Eagle Scout, Wilderness First Aid, rescue diving, and single rope technique certifications. His motto is “no distance is too far and no journey too great”! Peter is committed to unlocking new horizons for every fellow traveler participating in his expeditions. Whether leading a wildlife observation trip, diving the deep blues, or paddling the rapids, he promises to plan your expedition, lead the way, and bring you safely back.

Crafting Adventures Beyond Limits

Peter doesn’t just plot routes — he crafts every journey by hand, shaped around each participant’s interests and abilities.

From his home base in Mississippi, trips like “Rocks & Amphibians” mix climbing and reptile tracking in the Appalachian foothills, while “Paint & Paddle” pairs camping with riverside art on Black Creek. In other adventures, clients rappel 200-foot bluffs or paddle 80 miles down the Singing River.

For Peter, travel is about purpose. “Each journey should capture unseen landscapes and teach real adventure skills,” he says. No cookie-cutter tours — just meaningful, skill-building experiences curated for your goals and abilities.

As a conservationist, he’s also committed to sustainable exploration, promoting Leave No Trace ethics and local stewardship on every trip.
