4) select the languages your speak, your skills and your certifications. You can navigate the large list by clicking on the top level categories on the left and scrolling down. If you can't find a pre-listed item, please select "other" under the correct category and enter your selection in the text field. We will add it to the list for you. It's a lot of selections, but this short time investment will help us send the right business your way.
5) Select your Xpedition type. Currently you can only select Guided Xpeditions where you physically lead your Xplorers on amazing journeys. The DIY Xpeditions and Concierge Xpeditions will become available in the near future. If you have questions about the future Xpedition types, please reach out to us at thrillmasters@xploreum.io. Select "Guided Xpedition and move forward.
6) Whether you are a full time outdoor business owner or an aspiring guide just starting out, we're here to help. Let us know what stage of the journey you are in so we can plan on helping you grow the best we can.
7) To lead Xpeditions with us, we need to make sure you and your Xplorers are well covered and insured. If you have your own coverage, great! We'll grab a copy of your policy and you're all set. If not, we have built a partnership with Next Insurance to help you get covered at a reasonable rate. If you elect to use our insurance partner, click on the Next logo and follow their instructions. This is just to help you get up and running faster, your coverage is between you and your provider, we do not get involved in any way other than showing you one path out of many to get covered. It's totally up to you how you get there.
8) Select the activities you are interested in guiding. This can include your current Xpeditions or future ones you're working toward. It's a long list, you can use the top level categories on the left side to navigate your way and scroll up and down to make your selections.
9) If you have access to or provide any lodging, you can select it here. Some Thrillmasters own cabins, hotels, campgrounds, or have access to private/ public land. If you have this level of access, this helps you list more compelling Xpeditions, if not, that's ok too. You can coordinate lodging in different ways:
If you don't provide any lodging options, skip this step and click next.
10) If you provide any rental vehicles or equipment for your Xpeditions, you can select what you have available here. We do not currently support a separate equipment or vehicle rental flow, but you can bake the rental costs into your Xpedition pricing. Remember that you are responsible for carrying the right insurance and putting the right agreements in place if you provide vehicles or other critical/ high-risk equipment.
It's another long list to select from so you can use the top level categories on the left to navigate the list and scroll to the correct options. If you provide any equipment that is not listed, you can select other under the right category and type in the name of the equipment. We will add it to the list for you.
11) Add your social media handles. We will add you to our list of social partner accounts and help you boost your content, brand and Xpeditions. With Xploreum being a large community of guides and outdoor enthusiasts, we create a large social echo chamber that brings visibility into your accounts thereby helping you generate more revenue. If you don't have social accounts, consider starting with the most impactful ones.
12) Upload a cool, high quality picture of yourself (preferably out in the field). We will use this picture for your Thrillmaster profile and in the promotional material we create for you.
13) Tell us a bit more about yourself, your journey getting here and your hopes, dreams and love of the outdoors. You can choose to post this text in your Thrillmaster account by checking the checkbox under the text area. If you want to keep it between us, then leave that box unchecked.
14) Lastly please read, understand and agree to our legal agreements. See the video below to understand the process better. All agreements must be agreed to before you can finish your Thrillmaster registration process.
